This form should be completed if you would like your business or premises to become a Safe Haven in Kingston. Please check the criteria to become a Safe Haven below before completing the form. Once submitted the community safety team at Kingston council will contact you to discuss suitability and arrange training for your employees.
Steps to becoming a Safe Haven

- Training arranged and delivered
- Go live date agreed and resources shared
- Window stickers and posters displayed

Criteria to become a Safe Haven:
- Private space to talk to the person asking for assistance
- Charging point for mobile phones
- Access to water
- Access to a toilet
- Wi-Fi
- Safe Haven window sticker and posters on display
- Trained staff - free 45 minute training provided by Kingston Council Community Safety Team in-person or online
- Relevant public liability insurance
- Working CCTV or 2 members of staff available to cover Safe Haven when requested (for safeguarding purposes)
The free Safe Haven window stickers and posters will be supplied once your request has been approved and you have received full training.
Once your location goes live as a Safe Haven, it will be added to the Kingston Council Website and Imabi App.
All data gathered may be shared with third party institutions like Local Authorities, Police Service, BIDS and service providers to map Safe Haven locations.
